Cold Temps Boost Business for Merrill Travel Agent

While many businesses struggle during cold snaps like the one we have been experiencing this week, travel agencies in our area see business rise as the mercury drops.

Travel Adventures in Merrill says they have seen a significant increase in people looking to escape to a tropical paradise.
Agency owner Faye Delosh says that many people are interested in booking last minute getaways, even for later this month.

The cold temperatures put vacations front and center in the minds of people this time of year.

"It is certainly an advantage and a great incentive to sit back and imagine being on the beach instead of shoveling snow . Just getting some sun." Delosh says.

Travel Adventures says that the Dominican Republic and Jamaica are among the most popular destinations they have been booking this month.
