The Colby School District says a staff member has been on paid administrative leave since February 12th, following accusations of inappropriate conduct.
The Marshfield Police Department says its investigation into the matter involves an offense which occurred outside of Wisconsin with a 17-year-old.
A second alleged incident was reported in which the staff member inappropriately touched an 18-year-old male, but because that happened more than 3 years ago, the statute of limitations has expired, and police decided not to investigate.
So far, no criminal charges have been filed against the staff member, so we've decided not to name him.
The Colby Superintendent says the district is also conducting its own investigation.
