Colby School District Superintendent Dr. Steven Kolden says the school board has reinstated a teacher who had been on paid administrative leave.

The action was taken after a closed meeting Wednesday night.

Kolden released a statement saying the board of education has accepted his recommendation to immediately reinstate the employee to all teaching and extracurricular assignments within the school district.

Word of the the teacher's leave came out in mid February. NewsChannel 7 decided not to name him because no criminal charges were filed.

Marshfield police reported they were investigating an incident in which the teacher was accused of inappropriately touching a 17-year- old while outside of Wisconsin.

Officers said a second incident was reported with an 18-year old, but because it happened 3-years ago the statute of limitations had run out.

We were not able to contact the Marshfield police chief or the Colby district superintendent tonight to get further information on the case.
