Two children are recovering after being shot inside a vehicle.

A 10-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the Milwaukee shooting Wednesday night.

Deputy Inspector Stephen Basting says the children were in a vehicle being driven by their mother. He says the mother drove them to a local hospital and they are expected to be released soon.

Basting says police are trying to determine if another person in the vehicle was the target of the shooting.
