UPDATE: Fitchburg Homicide Suspect Accused of Killing own Child

Authorities say a 30-year-old man facing first degree intentional homicide and attempted first degree homicide in connection with a domestic-related incident in Dane County, is accused of killing his own child.

According to WMTV-TV, the suspect, Jesus Castillo-Dimas and a 20-year-old Fitchburg woman were in a long-term relationship that recently ended. Police say when the woman and child got out of vehicle, Castillo-Dimas intentionally hit them with his vehicle, injuring the woman and killing the child.

Castillo-Dimas then exited his vehicle attacked the female. A 30-year-old man was able to intervene until police arrived. The female and Fitchburg man were transported to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries. Castillo-Dimas refused medical treatment and was taken into custody at the scene.
