BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) -- Chevrolet is marking the 60th anniversary of the beginning of the Corvette production this week with the introduction of the Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition.
It's a limited-production model that commemorates the launch of the all-new, seventh-generation Corvette that went into production on June 30, 1953.
Chevrolet debuted the 2014 Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant in Kentucky, where Corvettes have been produced since 1981. Production of the 2014 Corvette Stingray Coupe Premiere Edition will be limited to 500.
