A Waupaca-area couple is charged after a drug bust last April at their Town of Dayton home.
According to the criminal complaint investigators from the Waupaca County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant at a home on East Road. Investigators say officers seized 55 marijuana plants from two separate grow rooms and $1,600 in cash.
According to court documents, the homeowners arrived home about an hour and half into the search.
Jamie Lehman, 36, told investigators she was not aware of any marijuana in the home. According to court documents, an deputy told her that was hard to believe as some of the plants were in plain sight.
Sam Lehman, 35, Jamie's husband, admitted the grow was his, and he used it for medical purposes because it was too expensive to buy.
Sam Lehman is charged maintaining a drug trafficking place, two counts of manufacturing THC, two counts possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, and one count of bail jumping. He's free on a $5,000 signature bond.
Jamie Lehman is expected to be charged two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of THC. She's also expected to be charged on Feb. 4.
A booking photo of Jamie Lehman is not available.
