Online Court Records show a judge ruled there was enough evidence for a 41-year-old man accused of distributing drugs in the Wausau area to head to trial.

Chee Xiong appeared in Marathon County Court Wednesday morning for a preliminary hearing. He's charged with four felony drug counts.

Prosecutors say he was bringing a half pound of meth a week in Wausau for six months. He was arrested after police found a full pound of methamphetamine in his car during a search.

Xiong remains in jail on a $250,000 cash bond and is due back in court next month.

A suspect accused of distributing a lot of drugs into the area is behind bars.

Prosecutors said he's been bringing a half pound of meth a week into Wausau for six months.

Forty-one-year old Chee Xiong was arrested after police said they found a full pound of methamphetamine in his car during a search.

It has a street value of more than $50,000.

Xiong is charged with four felony drug counts.

In court Tuesday, the judge set bond at $250,000.

Prosecutors said it's more proof of our growing drug problem in our area.

"We're seeing a resurgence in meth," Marathon County Assistant District Attorney Lance Leonhard said. "We're seeing a heroin epidemic, and we're seeing a lot of drugs make their way into the county."

Xiong is due back in court next week.
