UPDATE: Man Charged in Heroin Overdose Death Pleads Not Guilty

A 30-year-old Waushara County man accused of providing heroin to a man that later fatally overdosed has pleaded not guilty.

Lucas Zuehlke, 30, entered the plea Monday in Marathon County Court.
He's charged with five felonies including 1st degree reckless homicide in the death of Thomas Knickerbocker.

Zuehlke remains behind bars on a $100,000 cash bond.

Not future court dates have been scheduled according to online court records.

The case against a Waushara County man accused of selling heroin to a man that overdosed and died, will head to trial.

Lucas Zuehlke, 30, appeared in Marathon County Court Wednesday morning. He's charged with five felonies including 1st degree reckless homicide in the death of Thomas Knickerbocker.

He remains behind bars on a $100,000 and will return to court June 5.

A 33-year-old Wausau woman is now charged with supplying the heroin that caused her boyfriend's overdose death.

Nycole Creed is free on bond and will return to court May 22 to learn if her case will head to trial.

According to the criminal complaint, Creed purchased heroin from Lucas Zuehlke on March 10. Her boyfriend, Thomas Knickerbocker died from heroin toxicity on March 11.

Court document state Creed worked with police in an undercover buy leading to the arrest of Zuehlke.

Zuehlke is charged with Knickerbocker's death. Zuehlke will be in court Wednesday to learn if his case will head to trial.

A 30-year-old Waushara County man is charged in connection to the March 11 heroin overdose death of a Wausau man.

According to the criminal complaint, Lucas Zuehlke, of Coloma is accused of providing heroin to Thomas Knickerbocker on March 11 leading to his death.

Zuehlke is charged with five felonies including 1st degree reckless homicide. He remains behind bars on a $100,000 cash bond.

Zuehlke was arrested March 18 after sting operation in Wausau.

A forensic pathologist confirmed Knickerbocker's death was the direct result of a heroin overdose.
