Charges Expected Following Embankment Crash in Wausau

A 59-year-old man is expected to be charged with operating while intoxicated after he accidentally drove down an embankment near the Marathon County Employees Credit Union in Wausau.

Officers responded to 400 E. Thomas St. just after 11 am Thursday for the report of the crash.

An investigation shows the man lost control of his truck after leaving the credit union drive through and drove over the embankment. Police believe the truck is totaled.

The man was taken to a Wausau hospital for treatment.
