It's that colorful childhood pastime that never seems to get old: chalking up the sidewalk.
This weekend hundreds are literally "painting the town" for Chalkfest on the 400 Block in Wausau. It's the 10th anniversary for the event and a wide array of designs are being featured.
"I'm a very artsy person," says Ashley Martino of Wausau. "I enjoy doing crafty stuff and this is just another opportuity to go out in the public and have a nice social time with the Wausau area."
Chalkfest continues on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a reception and award ceremony directly following at the Center for Visual Arts.
