The public is invited to attend the free monthly Celiac Support Group meeting, Tuesday, May 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Water's Edge Dining Room on the Lower Level of Riverview Medical Center, 410 Dewey Street in Wisconsin Rapids.
The meeting will feature "Summer Gatherings & Dining Out," presented by Andrea Wagner with Riverview Medical Center's Food & Nutrition Services Department. The group will also discuss the details of its June cookout. Attendance is free and no registration is needed. New members of all ages and their family members are welcome.
Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been on a gluten-free diet for years, the Celiac Support Group will put you on the path to learning more about celiac disease, gluten intolerance, and gluten-free living, shopping, cooking and eating out.
The Celiac Support Group is facilitated by Lori Cesare, DTR, a Riverview Medical Center registered dietetic technician with many years of experience educating patients about gluten-free diets, and Jean Lobner, a Celiac Support Group member.
The group meets the third Tuesday of every month (except January, July, August and December).
