We all love their cookies, but cookie sales are only one way the Girl Scouts raise money.
Saturday night the Girl Scouts hosted their annual "Celebrate Girl Scouting" banquet at the Wausau Country Club. The banquet is their second biggest fundraiser of the year next to, of course, cookie sales. Guests were treated to dinner and participated in a silent auction. All the proceeds will go towards providing access to life-changing experiences for Girl Scouts in our area.
NewsChannel 7's Sean Caldwell and Kristin Guilfoos emceed the event.
Organizers say this year was one of their best turnouts. That's good news since cookie sales have been slow due to the extreme winter weather.
