With all this snow, you'll have to be cleaning off your cars and sidewalks, but don't forget to keep snow and ice off your meters and vents.
Heavy snow accumulation can cover vents, causing gas to be blocked and resulting in a malfunction of your furnace. It could also cause buildup of carbon monoxide, which could be fatal.
Also remember that high winds and heavy snow can result in downed power lines. If this happens stay away from them... And call your energy provider immediately.
