A St. Germain woman charged in connection to a fatal heroin overdose will learn Thursday if her case will head to trial.

Jennifer Heiting, 26, is charged with delivery of heroin, conspiracy to deliver heroin, and possession with intent to deliver, along with two counts of bail jumping.

According to a press release, on Dec. 10 the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, along with members of the Northcentral Drug Enforcement Group began an investigation involving the use and delivery of controlled substances, specifically heroin.

Events leading to this investigation included the possible drug overdose death of David Stahl, 30.

Heiting remains behind bars on a $10,000 cash bond.
Toxicology results obtained from Stahl will not be available for several weeks, at that time a decision regarding potential charges involving Heiting and any other individuals will be finalized based on the results.
