The 34th Annual Hodag Country Fest is taking place in Rhinelander.

The performances kicked off last night, but the fun actually started Wednesday with the traditional chair line.

The annual event kicked off Thursday continues through the weekend at the Wausau Municipal Airport.

The event includes plane rides for the kids, live music, and daily hot air balloon launches.

Five rib vendors from all over the country will be at the event.

Along with barbecue, food lovers can feast on corn of the cob, cheese curds, and egg rolls.

The weekend also includes Chalkfest on Saturday.

That takes place downtown around the 400 block.
