UPDATE: Burnett Co. Parents Charged with Neglect in Girl's Death
SIREN, Wis. (AP) -- The parents of a 3-year-old girl who accidentally drowned in Burnett County last month are now charged with neglect in her death.
Online court records show 33-year-old Jenna Danish and 42-year-old Thomas Jay Williams were charged Friday in Burnett County with felony child neglect resulting in death.
The body of their daughter, Reena Mae Williams, was found Aug. 15 in a canal near her home after she went missing the evening before. A neighbor had earlier seen the girl walking in the street.
Both parents were home at the time the girl wandered away.
