Ruby and Hannah stopped by Sunrise 7 to show present their business plans before the Kids Awesome Business Fair Friday night.
Kids Awesome Business Fair will be held from 6-8:30 p.m., April 4, in Weston at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.
More than 50 home-educated children from Central Wisconsin have been working for two months on product development, manufacturing and packaging of their very own business ideas.
Most of the students, ages 6-14 years, were inspired by a day-long Junior Achievement (JA) event held in January, where they learned foundation business concepts and the strategies for becoming successful entrepreneurs.
“Children and typically uninhibited and think big thoughts all the time. They climb bigger trees than they should, bite off more than they can chew (quite literally), and often have little fear of risk. Fostering a young child’s enthusiasm for hard work and big ideas is essential for raising the next generation of adult entrepreneurs,” Heidi Lewerenz, Event Organizer said.
