The Milwaukee Brewers and its charitable arm have raised more than $3.5 million during the 2012 season.
The club and the Brewers Community Foundation raised the money through a number of events and efforts, including the 5K Famous Racing Sausages Run/Walk, the Brewers Mini-Marathon and An Evening with Hank Aaron.
It also includes the game day 50/50 Raffle, which reached $1.6 million in total revenue.
The foundation's executive director, Cecelia Gore, says the money helps support critical issues in the Milwaukee area. Some of the previous nonprofit programs supported by the foundation include the Boys & Girls Club, Hunger Task Force, Make-a-Wish and Sojourner Family Peace Center.
Last year, the foundation and the team raised $3.2 million.
