A 21-year-old man accused of killing his girlfriend in Weston in October has pleaded not guilty.

Richi Vue is charged with 1st degree intentional homicide, theft, illegally possessing a gun, fleeing an officer , and driving a vehicle without the owner's consent.

On October 13, just after 8 pm, officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 5100 block of Aspen Street in Weston for a report of possible shots fired. When officers arrived on scene they found the body of Lee Xiong, 20. She was pronounced dead at the scene. She died of a single gunshot wound.

Police say a 14-year-old witness was at the home at the time.

That's evening Vue's vehicle was observed traveling westbound near Abbotsford. Vue fled when officers tried to stop the vehicle. A chase ensued and he was located in a wooded area on Pine Road near Meadow Drive.

Both Marathon and Clark County law enforcement officers, including K-9 SWAT Team members were used to search the area near the vehicle. Vue was arrested nearly 5 hours later without incident.

Vue's vehicle was a 2012 Black Ford Truck that was reported stolen from a Wausau car dealership on September 11. Two handguns were recovered near that scene and the vehicle was impounded and brought back to the police department.

Vue was interviewed by detectives from EMPD at the Marathon County Jail following his arrest and did make some admissions regarding this case.

Vue remains behind bars in the Marathon County Jail on $1,000,000 cash bond.
