The body of a Middleton woman has been pulled from the Wolf River in the Keshena area in Menominee County.

According to a news release from the sheriff's department, just after 8 Sunday morning, the body of Lina Maria Vergara Castaneda, 20, was found. Deputies say she was rafting on Saturday, when she went into the water, and did not resurface. She was not wearing a life jacket at the time.

Authorities from several law enforcement agencies aided in the search for Castaneda. Due to extremely dangerous water conditions, the dive team continued their search Saturday night, but resumed it Sunday morning.
