Body of Eau Claire Co. Man Pulled from Frozen Pond

The Eau Claire Co. Sheriff's Department has recovered the body of man who fell through a pond Tuesday evening.

According to WEAU-TV, dispatch received a call just before 7 pm reporting a man in his 50s had fallen through the ice on pond on Karow Road near Augusta.

The man's body was recovered about an hour later. A Sargent with the sheriff's department says the man may have gone out onto the ice to recover a flock of ducks had fallen through the ice.

The victim's name has not yet been released.
