KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) -- Authorities say a body found in a cemetery is that of a 26-year-old Kenosha woman who had been beaten and strangled.
Kenosha County Sheriff's Sgt. Bill Beth says Monday that Lisa Marie Mezera was reported missing by her father on Monday morning -- after he grew concerned when she wasn't home and heard that a woman's body had been found at the Bnai-Zedek Cemetery in Somers a day earlier.
Beth says Mezera was last seen by her father Saturday evening when she left the house with people she knew. Authorities are talking to them to try to figure out what happened.
Officials say Mezera died from blunt force trauma to the head and strangulation. Additional autopsy results are pending.
Beth says authorities believe the incident was isolated.
