A 47-year-old Tomahawk man is expected in court Monday for a bond hearing after he's accused of assaulting another man.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department, at 11:30 p.m. Friday, dispatch received a call from a man who said he'd been attacked by another man.
Initially, the victim, a 42-year-old man refused medical assistance, but was later transported to the trauma center at a Marshfield hospital after a deputy realized the severity of his injuries.
The suspect was located an hour later at a Tomahawk tavern. The man initially denied being at the victim's home, but a when a deputy point out blood splatters on the man's shoes he said nothing more than a scuffle took place.
The suspect is expected to be charged with substantial battery – causing great bodily harm. The victim was and released from the hospital on Sunday.
