A memorial blood drive has been planned for Sept. 28 to honor a young boy who lost his battle with cancer earlier this year.
Treyden Kurtzweil, 1, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at just two-months-old.
Organizers of the blood drive said blood transfusions gave Treyden the strength to fight for 10 months, and gave his parents the gift of time with their beautiful son.
Blood donors are urged to come forward so kids like Treyden can keep fighting.
The blood drive will held Saturday, Sept. 28 at Zion Lutheran Church, 700 North 2nd Street in Stratford. The event begins at 8 a.m. And runs until 1 p.m.
