Family of a 2012 SPASH graduate and frequent blood donor, are holding a blood donation drive this week in his memory.
Jasper O’Keefe passed away last summer in a drowning accident. A blood drive will be held on Wednesday, April 17, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the SPASH Fieldhouse, 1201 Northpoint Dr.
“Giving blood is an easy way to help save a life and Jasper was the first to lend a hand to someone in need,” said Nancy Nowak, O’Keefe’s grandmother and volunteer blood drive coordinator. “By donating in my grandson’s honor, we can help turn a tragedy into something positive. Help celebrate the life of Jasper by giving someone a chance to spend more time with their loved ones.”
How to Donate Blood:
Simply call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients.
