Family and friends of a 3-year-old girl are inviting the public to fundraiser this weekend to offset medical costs during the girl's treatment with leukemia.
Family members say Stella Hartman has begun a three-year journey to treat her Acute Lymphoblastic leukemia, also known as ALL.
The diagnosis came on Stella's 3rd birthday on March 23, as she was taken to the ER and her parents learned of the condition. Organizers say the benefit will also double as birthday party do-over.
The benefit is Saturday, July 13 at Wild Horse Saloon in Kellner, 9031 County Road WW. The benefit is 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.; with the Birthday Carnival running until 6 p.m.
The dinner is from 4-8 p.m. Dinner includes a pasta bar, corn roast, and birthday cake. Tickets are $8/ $4 for kids 10 and under.
If you're unable attend, but would still like to help, a benefit account has been established at Bull's Eye Credit Union, located at 1930 8th Street South in Wisconsin Rapids. Checks can be made out to the Strength for Stella Fund.
