The Salvation Army of Stevens Point has a $125,000 dollar Red Kettle fundraising goal for this year and is relying greatly on volunteers to them reach it. The annual fundraiser accounts for 33% of the local Salvation Army's operating budget.

The red kettle campaign runs from November 9 to December 24, with many shifts at different locations throughout Stevens Point and Plover.
These funds provide assistance to thousands of the areas needy this Christmas and will fund many of the Salvation Army's year-round efforts to those in need in Portage County.
