Beaver Dam District Employee Fired Over Alleged Sexual Relationship with Student

An employee of the Beaver Dam School District is facing felony charges after police say he had a long term sexual relationship with a high school student.

According to WMTV-TV, the 27-year-old male employee had multiple sexual encounters, including sexual intercourse, with a student at his home over the past 1 1/2 years. The alleged victim in this case is a student of the Beaver Dam High School.

Police arrested the man Thursday for repeated 2nd degree sexual assault of a child and sexual assault by a school faculty member.

He is currently in the Dodge County Jail awaiting an initial appearance in Dodge County Circuit Court.

The law states that being she was under the legal age of 18 she couldnt consent to it....making her only a willing partner which in turn leaves the man facing felony charges. Because he had intercourse with her that adds to it. It would have been just as bad but the sentence would be less if he had stopped before crossing that line. She may have wanted it too but the law says she is not old enough to consent... this really makes no sense. Just a word to the wise for the younger generation. If you are 18 years old whether your male or female and have a sexual relationship with a patrner that is under 18 you will be charged with this same offense because thats the world we now live in. Sure am glad Im not a teenager ... the world has sure changed

all she has to do is wait until he's out of jail. By then she will be 18.

Also, the man in question was not a teacher, but one of the school custodians. All of the teachers in Beaver Dam High School are respectable and clean adults and employees.

I'm a senior at this high school and I figured I should set the record straight. The girl in question is a sophomore, therefore making her about 15-16 years old. The intercourse in question was 100% consented, and she has admitted to the acts in question. It is wrong for him to do what he did, and he should have known better, but from what I understand she had both convinced and even blackmailed him to do so. Either way, it's still illegal, but what SHE did was also wrong.

Sometimes these cases come about because the parents find out, yes it is wrong and the guy should of known better and will have to pay for that but Im sure the teenage girl had a willing part in this. Theres always two sides to every story. He still should of known better

Really Erica? He was a school employee and she was a student. I'm sure he knew it was illegal. Even if she was a senior, it had been going on for over a year. Do the math.

All acrossed the country we are seeing this problem with school employees and church employees. Peolpe we have trusted are turning out to not be trustable. Much more attention needs to be paid to the backgrounds and ongoing conduct of the ones we trust with our children. Under many present union contracts the ones who have these baackgrounds can teach in other schools without this information being made available. Not right.

Wow, sounds like our state's schools are becoming dens of iniquity. You used to have to become a rock star to do all of this stuff, now you just have to work in a public school.
