Online court records show one of three people injured in the 2011 explosion at the NewPage papermill in Biron is suing the company.
Jason Szelagowski suffered 3rd degree burns in the accident. He is asking for compensation for multiple reasons including past and future medical expenses, past and future earnings and loss of the ability to enjoy things in life after the accident.
The explosion happened back in August of 2011 in the boiler room when -dust particles ignited a fire, causing the explosion.
The documents accuse NewPage of negligence.

Fifty-five-year-old Edward Robbins, 48-year-old Jeffrey Helminiak, and 30-year-old Jason Szelagowski were all injured Friday morning during an explosion at NewPage paper mill in Biron.
Around 8:15 a.m. authorities say a piece of equipment used to filter coal dust was being repaired when smoldering particles ignited other particles causing a flash fire.
Two contractors from Hydroblasters and a NewPage employee were burned. One of the contractors suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns and was transported to a Madison hospital by medical helicopter. Two others were taken to area hospitals by ambulance.
The mill was not evacuated.
Biron is near Wisconsin Rapids.
