Phase one has already begun. Crews are pouring concrete and building around Athletic Parks historic walls to bring fans an experience they can only get at the game.
The main grand stand will be demolished, replaced with a beautiful entrance to the ball park. Luxury boxes and a new press box will also be built.
General Manager Ryan Treu says the organization had the fans in mind while dreaming up the improvements.
"See what the fans like and what they respond to. We didn't want to do anything they wouldn't like."
Treu says the new grand stand will also hold 280 fixed seats that are 21 inches wider than any general admission seat they build, providing extra comfort for fans. The renovation is being paid for by private funds.
