UPDATE: 10/2 9:45 am

We have new details surrounding the incident in Clark County. An officer from the Dorchester Police Department says the incident was an attempt at a drug deal.

The officer says Mike Bender approached Terry Reedcord last night, holding a tissue over his face. Reedcord said he believed Bender threatened him, and he believed Bender had a gun.

Reedcord then ran down to Pinter's Packaging Plant and asked the clerk to call 911.

When police caught up to Bender, he was not carrying a weapon, but did have about 25 grams of marijuana on his person and was attempting to complete a drug deal with Robert Sage. Bender was arrested for possession of THC, bail jumping and resisting an officer. Sage was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Before those arrests, police say Bender and Sage stashed marijuana under a vehicle. A bystander, Thomas Warren, say the two stash the drugs and picked it up and went home. Police caught up with Warren and arrested him for obstructing an officer.
