Aspirus Wausau Hospital has a new president. Darrell Lentz has served as the interim hospital president since November 2013.
According to a news release, as president, Lentz will be accountable for developing and improving the patient experience, managing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing clinical services and collaborating with medical staff.
Lentz is originally from Maine and has more than 16-years of experience in the health care and financial industries. Before coming to Aspirus, he was the Chief Financial Strategic Operations Officer for University Hospitals and Health System.
The Chief Executive Officer for Aspirus says he believes Lentz will be successful in this role. “In the past year, Darrell has done a great job of guiding Aspirus Wausau Hospital through major changes without losing focus on our priority – serving our communities with excellence and compassion,” Matt Heywood said. “His skills and leadership will help us succeed in an industry that is evolving rapidly and dramatically.”
