The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department has made an arrest in a November stolen guns incident.
The department says on Nov. 17 around 4:30 am, police responded to a hotel in the 4200 block of 8th Street. Police say the suspect broke the windows of two vehicles and stole two shotguns and two rifles, worth a combined value of over $2,500.
Police say great detective work and tips from the public led to the arrest of a 40-year-old suspect.
Police have requested charges to the District Attorney’s Office for: 4 Counts of Felony Possession of a Firearm, 2 Counts of Theft, Bail Jumping, 2 Counts of Criminal Damage to Property.
