HARRISON, Ark. (AP) -- A Harrison resident is jailed on charges in Wisconsin from a rape that was alleged in 1975.
Boone County Jail records showed Jimmy Dale Mulanex, 57, remained in jail Sunday following his arrest on Friday morning.
Officials say Mulanex is being held without bond pending extradition to Wisconsin. There was no indication whether Mulanex has an attorney.
Authorities in Wood County, told the Harrison Daily Times that Mulanex had been a cross-country truck driver in 1975 and was arrested on the original charge in December of that year. However, records show he didn't show for a preliminary hearing.
Police records show the victim went to the Venture Inn in Wisconsin Rapids with friends to celebrate a birthday.
Mulanex allegedly threatened the woman and raped her at the motel.
