Man Dies Following Fight in Argyle

A 29-year-old man is behind bars in Lafayette County on a tentative charge of aggravated battery stemming from a fight March 31, however that charge could be modify as the victim has died.

According to WMTV-TV, Danial Saalsaa was arrested after a physical altercation in the Village of Argyle around 3:16 am Sunday morning.

Aaron Saalsaa, 27, was taken by Argyle EMS to the Monroe-Clinic Hospital, but was later transferred to a Madison Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died Tuesday morning.

The Lafayette County Sheriff's Office says the investigation is being conducted by the Monroe Police Department Detectives. Once the police investigation is completed this matter will be referred to Lafayette County District Attorney for review.
