Area Trucking Company Breaks Ground On Big Move

They have served Wausau and the surrounding areas for years, JX Truck Center. Now the company is making a move, one they say will help business, and the environment.

The truck center is moving from its current Rib Mountain location to a new more cost efficient building in the Village of Kronenwetter.

Those in charge say their new location will service both natural gas and alternative fuel trucks, something that sets them apart from other locations. The move will also allow customers easier access- right off the highway. Something those in charge of the company say they have been lacking.

Sam Stevenson, General Manager of JX Truck Center says, "The move will offer our customers easier access. Rib Mountain has outgrown us. The retail business is making it more difficult for our customers to come see us. We are moving to a better business area for our customers."

The new building will provide about 40 percent more space than their existing location, and give customers a wider variety of services. The company will also utilize already used oil to heat certain locations in the building.

The construction is set to be completed in mid December of this year.
