Antigo Principal John Lund Still on Administrative Leave
Principal of West Elementary and Pleasant View Elementary, John Lund, is still on administrative leave.
Langlade County Sheriff Bill Greening acknowledged in a letter to the Antigo Daily Journal that there is a complex investigation taking place but wouldn't say anymore about it.
We have received many calls and e-mails about the investigation. Many viewers believe more information should be released. And naturally, there's been a lot of speculation in the community.
Both District Attorney Ralph Uttke and Greening said they had no comment on the situation.
The sheriff's letter to the community asked for patience and asked people not to spread rumors or talk to the media. Many people in Antigo were not willing to speak about the situation. Some even referenced the sheriff's letter as a reason why they were not speaking.
One of the few people who would comment was Steve Kohler, who coached with John Lund at one point. He called him an "outstanding guy." He felt that when all the facts came out, any rumors would simply be "hearsay."
We continue to make calls and question officials about this case. We will keep following this story until we're able to tell you more.
