A three-month-old Antigo baby is now recovering from his fourth surgery since birth.
On a website dedicated to updating supporters on the condition of Castan Schisel, a family member writes that Castan is now off life support. According to a post from Castan's father, Castan will be in a medically induced coma for at least a week.
Castan was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome; meaning the left side of his heart isn't strong enough to pump blood, causing the right side of the heart to overwork.
Family, supporters, and Antigo residents have changed their Facebook profile photos of a photo of Castan to show support.
