NEW INFO: Victims of Ringle Traffic Accident IDed

Marathon County sheriff's deputies say 52-year-old Peter Fisher of Ringle was killed in the one vehicle wreck Sunday evening in Ringle. A passenger in the car, 29-year old Antonia Zak was listed in fair condition at Wausau Aspirus Hospital Monday afternoon.

The investigation into how it happened continues, but deputies say speed was a factor in the crash.

A Marathon County Sheriff's Deputy confirmed for NewsChannel 7 that one person was killed in a single vehicle accident in Ringle.

According to law enforcement, the vehicle was headed north bound on Highway Q when it went off the side of the road. Two people were in the car at the time of the accident.

A male occupant died in the crash, and the female occupant was airlifted to Aspirus Hospital in Wausau. Authorities say a crash reconstruction team is on scene.

County Highway Q will be closed for a couple hours law enforcement says. A condition report on the female occupant is not available at this time. The crash is under investigation.

According to dispatch reports, a med-vac helicopter is headed to an accident in Ringle on County Road Q.

Scanner traffic reports a female occupant is trapped underneath a vehicle, while another occupant is trapped inside the vehicle upside down.

The accident is on 6020 County Road Q between Cherry Road and Dane Road.
