OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) -- About 130 members of the Wisconsin Army National Guard are coming home.

They've been in the U.S. since early last week, but they've been de-mobilizing at a camp in Mississippi. They'll be welcomed back to Wisconsin on Friday afternoon during a celebration in Oshkosh.

Most of the troops are part of the Oshkosh-based 1157th Transportation Company.

They spent almost 10 months in Afghanistan conducting convoy-escort missions. They were originally scheduled to deploy to Kuwait for a base security mission but they were reassigned after the Pentagon reallocated its forces.

Gov. Scott Walker and senior Wisconsin Army National Guard leaders will be among those welcoming the troops home. Family and community members are also invited to attend.

The event will be at the Experimental Aircraft Association in Oshkosh.
