A Stevens Point woman who created a Facebook group to honor Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers by giving him a special day, will see her wish come true.
Both the Senate and the Assembly passed the resolution to declare Dec. 12, 2012, as Aaron Rodgers Day.
Last November, Jennifer Brilowski created a Facebook page called "Let's Make 12/12/12 Aaron Rodgers Day." She says it all started out as a joke.
During a December interview with NewsChannel 7, Brilowski said, "The Packers and Aaron Rodgers definitely have plenty of recognition, they're already appreciated, this isn't so much about making an actual day for him as it is just celebrating the fun it is to be Packers fan.”
She said she will use the page as a way to raise money for the MACC Foundation. The foundation uses funds to find a cure for childhood cancers, something Aaron Rodgers supports.
