These days, a workout can be anything but ordinary!
Many of us tend to stick with the traditional way of stretching before we work out.
In this week's "A Better You," a local fitness trainer says it's ok to break loose of that habit.
Robin Birkenmeier, a trainer at Anytime Fitness in Weston, says it's important our muscles aren't getting tight or injured before we get going.
Therefore, try doing something like jumping jacks or lunges beforehand, then cool down with basic stretches following your workout.
Robin says the "cool down" period is one we definitely don't want to overlook or underestimate.
Keep going and keep pushing!
