If you're trying to squeeze in some last minute fun in the great outdoors before school starts, start with strengthening those muscles!
Kayaking and getting out on the water is a popular activity here in Wisconsin and club director James Klier at Anytime Fitness in Weston joined Sunrise 7 to share some ideas in this week's "A Better You."
Try working with resistance bands either in the gym or right at home.
They can help enhance your muscle strength and more!
"It's important that your muscles are conditioned to be able to do the activities while you keep up with the entire family," says Klier.
Why you should incorporate resistance bands into your workout:
1) They increase coordination
2) They're easy to take while you're on the go
3) Resistance bands add variety and are great on all fitness levels
