For the seventh year, America's Best Frisbee Dogs are back in Wausau.

The group of talented canines were catching lots of attention, and air, on the 400 block Thursday.

America's Best Frisbee Dogs are used to putting on an outstanding show. They travel the country, showing off their skills, and in Wausau at noon and 6 PM, they did not disappoint.

Jumping Jack the Maniac, California Crash, and the Flying Deuce are just some of the frisbee dogs performing for crowds throughout the Midwest.

They're all rescue dogs who come from a variety of backgrounds, some were even abused.

But after a year or so of training, these collie mixes and labs are reaching new heights.

And according to their trainers, they love it.

"We're the ones looking at the map, doing all the driving, booking hotels. They sleep all the way, get out and stretch, and they're ready to go. It's not hard on the dogs at all," said Bill Camp, who's been training frisbee dogs for decades.

Camp and Jim Foley hail from Holland, MI, where more dogs train at home, waiting for their chance to shine.

Camp says they look for dogs with good temperaments, who are already used to fetching.

Many of their dogs have retired, and others get rotated in and out of shows.
