Some of the top soldiers in the U-S are in Wisconsin this week for a contest that will reveal who’s the best.
Fort McCoy is hosting the Army Reserve Best Warrior Competition. It’s a weeklong event that challenges every aspect of a soldier’s skills.
Each of the soldiers has made it this far after winning lower level competitions. At Fort McCoy they’ll take the Army physical fitness test consisting of push-ups, sit-ups and a two-mile run. They’ll also be tested on military topics and push themselves in Army combat simulations.
Competition leaders say they’ll also throw in a few surprises.
Friday, two winners will be selected as the Army Reserve’s soldier and non-commissioned officer of the year. Those two will compete against the entire Army this fall.
