Members of the Wisconsin Rapids council say they've been getting complaints from residents about deer becoming a nuisance.

The past few years the city has worked with bow hunters to control the population, and council member Garry Kronstedt says they'll meet Tuesday to decide if that's the route they want to take again.

"It's probably the safest way. That's why we ask people in archery clubs who know how to handle a bow, who have practiced safety."

The Tomahawk Common Council approved an early bow hunt this year because of a similar problem.
