After years of preparation, a new park in Stevens Point is finally ready to show off it's unique features.
The park is one of kind, a nature trail for walkers and runners that also offers a scenic flare.
This new 20 acre park in Stevens Point is one of the largest city owned sculpture parks in the Midwest.
So far the park has only a few pieces for its grand opening on June 12TH.
One of the Sculpture Park Board Members Elizabeth Wellso says, "You don't have to go into an art gallery to experience the art work, the art work is here along our pathways. You can go for a walk or jog and here it is for you to experience. You don't have to step out of your life and into a building to find the art,it finds you."
Plus the park will be ever changing. Elizabeth says, they plan to add five new pieces every year to keep the community entertained.
If you'd like to check it out, you can find it off Second street just south of Zenoff Park.
