When it comes to pesky deer, the city of Tomahawk is taking matters into its own hands.
It plans to start a "nuisance bow hunt" August 14, or once it gets the necessary tags from the DNR.
Many residents have complained to City Hall about deer feasting on their gardens and shrubs.
The hunting area covers most of the city outside of the downtown.
The Tomahawk Police Department is the only place carrying tags for the hunt.
