Presidential candidate John Kerry did not get a big boost in the polls after the Democratic National Convention, but Wisconsin democratic Sen. Herb Kohl is saying Kerry is still in good shape before the election.
Kohl says Kerry did an excellent job with his speech during the convention, but didn't build a large lead over President Bush as many had expected.
"The normal boost that occurs after a convention didn't occur and everybody was really surprised," said Kohl. "Now, it probably means that so many voters have already made up their mind."
Kohl says that because it’s a swing state, he expects that whoever wins Wisconsin will go on to win the election.
